You'll find a friendly welcome and a home for your talents at Practice Plus Group. Whether you're coming from a General Practice, the ambulance service, or elsewhere, we'll give you time to use your skills and help you build a fulfilling career.

We are seeking Nursing/Paramedic Practitioners who are committed to working as part of our Urgent Care Team to deliver an excellent and caring service to our patients.

Our multidisciplinary workforce primarily consists of Advanced Clinicians and Emergency Practitioners trained in both adult and paediatric disciplines, supported by GPs.

As we operate a 7-day service, we are looking for Nurse or Paramedic Practitioners who can work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Shifts range from 7.5 to 12.5 hours. We understand the need for flexible working, so we are offering a bank contract to accommodate your current commitments.

What you'll be doing

The main patient groups are those with minor injuries and illnesses. Patients presenting to the Urgent Treatment Centre are managed by our expert team of Practitioners/Clinicians with undifferentiated diagnoses through assessment, formulation of a clinical management plan, and subsequent discharge or transfer for definitive care.

To make a difference by being a dedicated and compassionate practitioner, join our friendly multidisciplinary team at Portsmouth UTC, led by Service Manager David Woods. We offer a challenging and rewarding experience, striving for excellence in patient safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

We are committed to your development towards advanced practice, supported by a robust competency framework through experiential learning and development. We promote high levels of training and development at both Degree and Masters Levels.

  • Qualified to Level 6 or above in minor injuries and/or illnesses
  • A passion for delivering high-quality patient care
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care
  • A commitment to continual personal and professional development
