Blythgate Manor is a purpose built Care Home located in Blyth it is within easy reach of local transport links.

Lifestyle Care is a company, which is part of the Malhotra Group; a family run business based in the North East of England. We are currently recruiting for a Nurse at Blythgate Manor Care Home.

About You

You will need to be a first level nurse (RMN/RGN/RNLD) with a current PIN. Youll need to be passionate about what you do, and that means leading by example. You must be very organised, be able work on your own initiative and make effective decisions, whilst working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a clear competency framework. You should be up to date with current evidence based practice and have a working knowledge of CQC Regulations. You should be registered with the NMC.

We provide excellent care for our residents which improves and enhances their quality of life. Our Care Homes provide general residential care, nursing care, and specialist dementia care.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Leading, supervising and training the care team.
• Being responsible for ordering, storing and administering medication.
• Keeping precise, up to date records.
• Carrying out pre assessments, develop and implement care plans and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of residents.
• Maintaining the residents dignity and respect at all times.
• Achieving the highest possible standard of care in a professional manner through direct nursing care and effective supervision of staff.
• Taking management responsibility for the shift as directed.
• Ensuring that all Lifestyle Care Policies and Procedures are adhered to, including safeguarding, incident and accident reporting, risk assessment and care plans.
• Working appropriately with your line manager in all matters and that they are notified on any matter that has caused or has the potential to cause harm to anyone in our care or any member of staff or any issue that affects significantly the continuing quality of service delivery.

What Are We Looking For

• Previous experience within a nursing care home or similar.
• Strong clinical skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
