A leading affordable housing provider in the UK is seeking a Group Board Member to contribute to its strategic direction and ensure customer voices are valued. Candidates with lived experience in social or affordable housing are encouraged to apply. Full support and training will be provided. The closing date for applications is 22nd September 2025.
Hyde is one of the UK's leading and most diverse providers of affordable housing, managing over 125,000 homes and serving more than 350,000 residents. We are proud of our heritage and excited about our future - one that is shaped by our customers and communities.
We are now seeking to appoint a new Group Board Member who is a customer of Hyde, who will also sit on our Group Housing Services Committee (GHSC). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Hyde's strategic direction and ensure that customer voices are heard and valued at the highest level of our governance.
We welcome applications from individuals with lived experience of social or affordable housing - whether you are a tenant, shared owner, leaseholder, or someone accessing services from the Hyde Group. You may have experience from a wide range of customer centric sectors, services or organisations. What matters most is your ability to bring insight into what good service looks like and how it can be measured and improved.
To succeed in this role, you will need to think strategically and analytically, drawing conclusions from complex information and contributing to decision-making. You will be a strong communicator, able to work collaboratively with others and represent the broader customer experience in a balanced and constructive way. You should be prepared to invest in your own development, learning about Hyde's services and governance processes to make a meaningful impact.
No previous board experience is required. We will provide full support, including onboarding, mentoring, and access to training, to help you thrive in the role.
