A charity and SEN College in Tandridge is seeking a Night Support Lead/Team Leader to manage night support staff and ensure smooth operations overnight. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young disabled adults, excellent communication and people skills, and a caring attitude. Overview

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, skilled and experienced Night Support Lead/Team Leader to line manage night support staff and oversee the smooth running of the team during the night. 35 hours a week / 44 weeks per year, following a two-week rota pattern. A typical work pattern could look as follows, but will be discussed in more depth at interview. Monday (Night) - 21:00 - 06:00 Tuesday - OFF Wednesday (Night) 21:00 - 06:00 Thursday Off Friday (Late) 18:00 - Midnight Saturday (Late) 18:00 - Midnight Sunday (Late) 21:00 - 06:00

Responsibilities
  • Line manage night support staff and oversee the smooth running of the team during the night.
Qualifications
  • Good level of Maths, English
  • A minimum of two years' experience of working with young people or adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
  • Experienced in providing personal care for individuals
  • Have an understanding of the range of different types of learning difficulties and disabilities
  • Willingness to maintain and update personal specialist skills and knowledge through engaging with appropriate professional development activities and training
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of students with personal care and medical needs
  • Good computer and IT skills are essential for this role
