Job Overview

As a Night Porter you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests, staff, and the hotel at nights. You will also conduct a minimum of two security checks at regular intervals with an emphasis on security and fire safety. You will help prepare breakfast at 6am daily, liaise with guests and residents, and resolve complaints in a courteous and professional manner. Your role extends beyond the front desk, supporting food and beverage, maintenance and all other areas that require exemplary customer service skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and the hotel during night hours.
  • Conduct regular security and fire safety checks, minimum two per shift.
  • Assist with breakfast preparation at 6am daily.
  • Liaise with guests and residents, resolving complaints professionally.
  • Support operations in food & beverage, maintenance and other departments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, presentable, and secure property throughout the night.
Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for cleanliness.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and staff.
  • Customer service skills: approachable, friendly, and able to handle complaints or requests.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts, including late-night and early-morning hours.
  • Age 18 or above; comfortable with nightshift patterns and commuting to the hotel.
