A care recruitment agency in the East Midlands is seeking an experienced Carer for night shifts from 2100 to 0700 at a care home. Responsibilities include providing high-quality care and following support plans. Candidates need recent care experience and valid training certificates. Pay is £12.75 per hour on weekdays and £13.25 on weekends. Support for training and DBS is available.

Overview

Immediate Starts with night-time hours as an experienced Carer within a beautiful Care Home in the Derby area.

You will be supporting the existing care team who specialise in illnesses related to old age, such as Alzheimer’s Disease or physical mobility issues. As a care assistant you will be a key member of the team in providing high standard of care to the 35 service users.

Responsibilities
  • Providing a high standard of care
  • Following individual support plans
  • Personal care
  • Moving and handling
  • Completing company paperwork
  • Completing light household duties
Requirements
  • Have two employment references, one of which must be from a care home setting
  • Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (inc. moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control)
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service
  • Have a range of experience in the use of Hoists, Slings and Rotundas
  • Have a minimum of 6 months paid UK work experience working within a residential care home
  • Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
  • If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, support is available with online training at a subsidised fee and certificates to keep
Hours and Pay

This is an ongoing role with potential for a permanent position. You will be working from 2100 to 0700, with hours available on varying days from Monday to Sunday.

Rate of pay: £12.75 per hour (Mon to Fri) and £13.25 per hour (Sat and Sun).
