NHS Lothian Pharmacy & Medicines Service – Staff Bank

Band 7 Pharmacists

Band 7 - £50,861 - £59,159 pro rata

NHS Lothian covers Edinburgh City, East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian. We are the second largest health system in NHS Scotland and one of only four teaching Boards. We have strategic partnerships with Local Universities, Local Authorities and our four Integration Joint Boards. We serve a population of 900,000, providing a range of Primary, Community Based and Acute Hospital Services. We also provide regional and national services across a range of clinical specialties.

Responsibilities

We are recruiting highly motivated, enthusiastic, and professional Pharmacists who are able to work on an ad-hoc, flexible basis to join our pharmacy team. Short and long-term opportunities are available.

You’ll work with our teams to provide high quality care in settings such as acute, mental health, community hospitals or primary care based within GP practices. You may also have the chance to support project work. The diversity of services covers provides an ideal environment to consolidate your experience and gain new knowledge and skills and is often a route into permanent employment.

You will join the staff bank to coordinate shifts via an electronic online booking system, viewing and booking shifts through a computer or mobile device.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Master of Pharmacy Degree (M.Pharm), or equivalent, and should also have completed the Post-Registration Foundation Programme or be able to demonstrate equivalent competence. Candidates will be required to evidence registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Employment Details

Work is offered on an "as and when required" basis with different shift patterns to suit flexible working. There are no guarantees of a fixed number of hours each week as this is a demand-led service.
