Band 8a Lead Pharmacist within Hospital in Ealing UK earning £36 per hour Hourly — Ongoing contract

Join us for an incredible opportunity as a Band 8a Lead Pharmacist in the vibrant town of Ealing UK. This full‑time locum role offers a competitive salary of £36 per hour and provides the chance to work on an ongoing contract. As a lead pharmacist you will play a critical role in delivering clinical services to inpatient wards ensuring safe and effective medicines management and supporting the operational and clinical pharmacy activities. This position demands strong leadership and management skills as you will manage staff rotas, support, and supervise the pharmacy team and step in for the Head of Department as needed.

What you will do
  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services to inpatient wards focusing on medicines optimisation and patient reviews.
  • Provide ward‑based support for Care of the Elderly and other clinical areas.
  • Manage and support pharmacy staff including rota planning and operational oversight.
  • Deputise for the Head of Department when required ensuring continuity and quality of service.
  • Contribute to dispensary management and the medicines supply chain maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to uphold high standards of care across the unit.
Essential Requirement
  • Must be available throughout December 2025 and January 2026 to ensure continuity of service during critical periods.
Requirements of the Pharmacist
  • GPHC Registration essential.
  • Previous experience working as a Pharmacist within a UK based NHS Pharmacy setting required.
  • NVQ or equivalent Pharmacist qualification.
