Job description

Belmont Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Outpatients Administration Assistant to support a busy outpatient appointment service within a large NHS organisation in Lincolnshire. This is a temporary contract for 3 months with a view to extend.

Key Responsibilities
  • Booking and managing outpatient appointments in line with RTT and Cancer Waiting Time targets
  • Tracking patients along their care pathway to prevent breaches
  • Maintaining accurate patient records using hospital administration systems (e.g. CareFlow PAS)
  • Liaising with clinicians, secretaries and internal departments to resolve booking issues
  • Managing appointment changes, cancellations and non-attendance in line with policy
  • Providing professional reception and telephone services to patients and staff
  • Identifying potential breaches and escalating concerns to senior staff
  • Supporting outpatient clinics and assisting with day-to-day reception duties
  • Assisting with the induction, training and support of new or junior staff
