Job description
Overview

White & Case opens more than 13,000 matters every year, or 1 matter per hour, 24/7. As a senior conflicts analyst you will play a key role in assisting partners and fee earners to identify potential conflicts of interest during new business intake and support the Office of the General Counsel in handling all aspects related to incoming new business for both new and existing clients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed research and analysis on clients, shareholders, and beneficial owners using external and internal databases to ensure full compliance with global conflicts and AML rules and regulations.
  • Process basic and complex conflict search and matter requests, ensuring adherence to client and matter risk policies.
  • Process reactivation and additional party requests, including KYC research.
  • Conduct KYC research and conflict search for client and matter name changes.
  • Gain knowledge of multi‑jurisdictional ethical regulations, especially US and UK rules.
  • Provide analysis, recommendations, and resolution of conflict issues as needed for each type of request.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Conflicts Analyst and perform any additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Law, Business, Finance, or Marketing (not essential).
  • 1–2 years relevant conflicts experience required, ideally within a law firm.
  • Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity; creative thinker.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels.
  • Exhibit mature judgment and appropriate handling of confidential information.
  • Pragmatic, self‑motivated, flexible, able to work both in a team and individually.
  • Ability to navigate working under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks as required.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and experience with iManage/document management systems.
