Work Type

The permanent opportunities are rotational 40‑hour work patterns on a 4 on 4 off basis (no standby). The role may include late, early and weekend work patterns.

What we do!

We make sure that people in Yorkshire have clean and safe drinking water on tap and that their wastewater is taken away. We look after communities, protect the environment, and plan to look after Yorkshire's water, today, tomorrow 24/7.

Where you fit in!

As a field‑based technician in a geographical team, you will deliver a first‑time fix and same‑day solution to our customers and the environment, and support the asset plan for network maintenance to eliminate escapes.

You will ensure correct site set‑up, complete POWRA before and during jobs, identify risks, and undertake preventive activity to stay safe at all times.

To maintain the sewerage network proactively and reactively, you will promote and implement solutions that resolve and/or prevent sewage escapes (flooding and pollution) and ensure no repeats.

You will work closely with other Yorkshire Water teams and contracted partners on site to resolve and manage operational issues on the sewer network.

Requirement to operate different vehicle types to complete work, dependent on vehicle availability and type of work attending.

You may be required to maintain and install Customer Sewer Alarms on the network and work with third‑party providers where support is required.
