A leading engineering services provider located in Helensburgh is looking for a Network Engineer to develop and deliver high-quality training courses for new military equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work within a small team, and a good understanding of data communications. As a Network Engineer you’ll step away from front line duties and into a role where you’ll shape the next generation of Royal Navy personnel. Drawing on your specialist understanding of Data Communications and RF Communication Techniques, you’ll coach, guide and assess learners across a range of Network engineering courses.

Handling disciplines, while contributing your subject matter expertise to course development, technical change activity and wider Marine Training initiatives. If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact while advancing your own career, this could be the ideal next step.

  • Developing training courses for new equipment/services delivered by Team Aurora whilst ensuring adherence to the DSAT process.
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain high quality training courses for both internal and external customers.
  • Identify the most practical and cost-effective training solution for the customer.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Faslane.

Essential Experience of the Network Engineer
  • Good communication skills.
  • Be able to work proactively and flexibly within a small team.
  • A good understanding of Data Communications and RF Communication Techniques.
Qualifications for the Network Engineer
  • To achieve and maintain UK MOD security clearance to a minimum of DV.
  • NVQ level 3 in an Engineering Discipline ideally.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
