Experience required…

Essential
  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent or evidence of experience in the highways sector
  • Commercial awareness in the delivery of projects
  • Awareness / experience of Local Highway Authority standards
  • Evidence of developing assistant engineers, graduates, and technicians
  • Working knowledge of programming tools such as ASTA
  • Evidence of managing Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other design software including for drainage, alignment, and traffic signs (desirable). Civil 3D experience would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of highway design guidance and standards including Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Manual for Streets, LTN 1 / 20 (Low Traffic Neighbourhood), TSRGD (Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions), MCDHW and other relevant codes of practice and design standardsAbility to compile specifications and Bills of Quantities (BoQ)Understanding of CDM (Construction Design Management) 2015 regulationsComputer literate particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word Full UK / EEC driving licence
