Job summary

A leading defense recruitment agency is seeking a Naval Combat Systems Engineer for a permanent role requiring expertise in surface ship combat systems and previous experience with Type 45 Destroyers. This position allows for predominantly remote work with occasional site visits in the UK. The ideal candidate should have a strong naval background, preferably as an ex Petty Officer or Chief Petty Officer. The role may also be offered on a long-term contract basis, with rates negotiable and inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Strong background as a Petty Officer or Chief Petty Officer.
• Experience with Type 45 Destroyer ships or similar.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of surface ship combat systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Ship/Submarine combat system audits.
• Engage in NSIPS related bid and enquiry work.
• Oversee wider capability area technical project work.
