Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Naval Combat Systems Engineer to work predominantly remotely but require visits to sites in Portsmouth, Plymouth, Bristol, and Frome a few times per quarter. Ideal candidates include ex Petty Officers or Royal Navy Weapon Engineers with significant surface ship combat systems experience, especially on Type 45 Destroyers. The role can be long-term contract basis with negotiable rates but falls inside IR35. Essential responsibilities include NSIPS service delivery and conducting combat system audits.

Qualifications

• Experience as an ex Petty Officer / Chief Petty Officer or Royal Navy Weapon Engineer.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of surface ship combat systems.
• Previous experience on Type 45 Destroyer or similar ships is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Ship/Submarine combat system audits.
• Perform NSIPS related bid and enquiry work.
• Manage technical project work for naval system activities.

Murray McIntosh are currently seeking a Naval Combat Systems Engineer to work for a client of ours on a permanent basis as detailed below :

In this role you will be working predominantly remotely but visiting a mixture of sites located in Portsmouth, Plymouth, Bristol & Frome a few times per quarter.

This role would suit an ex Petty Officer / Chief Petty Officer / Royal Navy Weapon Engineer.

Experience & responsibilities :

• NSIPS Service Delivery.
• Conducting of Ship / Submarine combat system audits.
• NSIPS related bid and enquiry work.
• Surface ship experience & ideally served on T45 or QEC platforms.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of surface ship combat systems.
• Previous experience of working on Type 45 Destroyer ships or similar is essential.
• Working knowledge of surface ship and / or submarine combat systems.
• Ability to understand and manage interface data in large quantities.
• Wider capability area technical project work for naval system related activities.
• Capability Area TAF and enquiry work.
• Ability to obtain SC clearance.

This role can also be offered on a long term contract basis, rate negotiable but inside IR35.
