Location: Walsall, West Midlands (with UK-wide travel and occasional overnight stays)

Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 FTE + Company Car or Allowance + Benefits

Employment Type: Part-Time, Permanent (3 or 4 days / week)

As the National Health & Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving a proactive health and safety culture across a diverse portfolio of live sites across the UK. You will be based from the company’s Walsall office but will be expected to travel nationwide on a regular basis, including occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on all aspects of Health & Safety across multiple project sites nationwide.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure legal and best practice compliance.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and develop internal safety briefings.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organisation’s safety management systems, procedures, and policies.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams, operatives, and clients to maintain and promote high safety standards.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards – ensuring appropriate corrective and preventative measures are put in place.
  • Monitor occupational health trends and support initiatives that promote workforce wellbeing.
Key Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar Health & Safety leadership role, ideally within construction or refurbishment environments.
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent recognised qualification).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK H&S legislation and industry best practices.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • The right to work in the UK and availability for a prompt start.
