Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a National Account Manager to manage key relationships with UK retailers, focusing on grocery, discounters, and high street accounts. The ideal candidate should have significant UK retail account management experience, preferably in FMCG. This hybrid role offers a salary up to £55,000 plus a bonus and other benefits, requiring two days a week at the Buckinghamshire office.

Qualifications

  • Track record in a National Account Manager role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a mix of UK retail accounts with full accountability for P&L.
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
  • Build long-lasting relationships with key retailers.

The role:

  • National Account Manager, managing a mix of UK retail accounts
  • Will have full accountability for your own customer base. Accounts across top 4 grocery, discounters and high street
  • Reports into UK Head of UK Sales & Managing Director and be part of a small close-knit team
  • Chance to build-on long-lasting relationships and grow the business
  • Strong commercial acumen, able to manage your own P&L and budgets
  • Develop and execute all JBPs working closely with the rest of the team
  • Strong communication, presentation skills and able to use your own initiative
  • Ambitious, keen to learn and develop your career within a small business environment but part of a global company

Ideal candidate:

  • Will need to have UK retail national account management experience across top 4 grocery, discounters or high street
  • Will need to have operated in FMCG, Consumer Goods or a similar industry
  • You may currently be operating in a National Account Manager role and open to a new challenge in a great business
  • Be personable, likeable and ambitious
  • Have strong commercial acumen, able to use excel and power point where necessary and present to retailers
