Overview

A lovely family based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, is seeking a Part-time Nanny Housekeeper to care for their school-aged child while keeping the home clean and well-maintained. The role also includes cooking and preparing meals as required. The family has a dog that will need walking on Saturdays, so a pet-friendly candidate would be ideal. A driver with a full licence would be an advantage but is not essential. A valid First Aid qualification is required for this position.

Working hours

Wednesday 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm; Friday 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm; Saturday 8:00 am – 1:00 pm (approximately 15 hours per week).

Duties

• Carry out ironing
• Manage laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding
• Take care of delicate and important household items
• Hoover and mop floors to maintain cleanliness
• Clean windows, cupboards, surfaces, kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms
• Organise wardrobes and maintain tidy living spaces
• Assist with homework and provide educational support
• Create engaging and interactive activities to support the child’s learning and academic development
• Encourage early literacy by reading books with the child
• Engage the child in play, creative projects, and outdoor activities such as visits to the park
• Escort the child to and from school, after-school activities, playdates, and appointments
• Wash, dress, and maintain proper hygiene for the child
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the child’s needs
