In Mid Yorkshire Hospitals, we perform approximately 1,000 hip and knee replacement surgeries every year and approximately 100 revision hip and knee replacement surgeries. There is opportunity for the arthroplasty fellow to train in performing primary hip and knee replacements whilst at the same time getting exposure to complex reconstructive procedures in hip and knee revisions. The post is not recognised for training by the Postgraduate Dean, although the duties and shift pattern are exactly the same as the training posts and study leave will be encouraged on an equivalent basis to that which applies to the educationally approved SHOs. The post will have an option of a 1:12 on‑call commitment.
Please note that the job may close early if we receive a high number of suitable applications, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible if you are interested.
