The Role

The Music Composer will work under the Music Director and alongside the producer to write and compose songs across multiple projects and brands. The role requires someone with a strong and creative musical mind to write original lyrics, melodies and orchestrate songs from concept right through to final master.

Responsibilities
  • Write and compose original songs including lyrics, arrangements and orchestrations.
  • Utilize Digital Audio Workstations (e.g., Logic) to edit, arrange, and compose.
  • Edit, tune, and comp vocal tracks, and record vocal guides as needed.
  • Work with the team to implement and maintain audio pipelines and strategies.
  • Engineer and coach recording sessions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop sound and music styles for new content strands.
  • Incorporate feedback from the music team.
  • Contribute to developing the musical identity of new formats/shows/IPs.
  • Manage multiple overlapping delivery pipelines, meeting deadlines across all IPs and projects.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a songwriter and composer.
  • Strong understanding of the entire music production process, from conception to completion.
  • Strong proficiency in DAWs (e.g., Logic) and audio editing tools.
  • Ability to manage time across multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to sing guide vocals.
  • Experience with vocal tuning, editing, and mixing.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be a direct member of the performing rights organisation BMI or have willingness to join BMI.
