Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing or multi‑trade maintenance.
• Comfortable working in occupied and void social housing properties.
• Full UK driving licence.
• DBS check (support available if required).

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive roof repairs and diagnose leaks in occupied social housing.
• Repair/replacement of gutters, fascias, and soffits.
• Perform general property maintenance including small carpentry repairs.
• Ensure properties are weather-tight and well-maintained.

Job description

Job Title: Multi-Trade Roofer / Roofing Operative (Social Housing Repairs)
Location: Winchester, Southampton, Bournemouth & surrounding areas (occasional travel to Taunton)
Salary: £24/hour (CIS, Umbrella) - temp to perm role - perm salary up to £40k (£16-18 per hour PAYE)
Hours: 40 hours/week - Mon‑Fri, 8:00‑16:30
Contract: 3‑month temp‑to‑perm

The Role

We're seeking experienced Roofers and Roofing‑biased Multi‑Trade Operatives to support a social housing maintenance programme across the South coast. You'll carry out a mix of roof repairs and general property maintenance, ensuring homes remain safe, dry, and well‑maintained.

Responsibilities

• Responsive roof repairs (tiles, slates, ridge, verge, flashing, felt, minor flat‑roof work)
• Diagnosing roof leaks in occupied social housing
• Gutter, fascia and soffit repairs/replacement
• Making properties weather‑tight
• Basic‑mid‑level multi‑trade tasks, including small carpentry repairs, patch plastering, basic plumbing fixes, painting/decorating, tiling repairs, general property upkeep
