Overview

Job Title: Multi-Skilled Operator

Location: Horndean

Salary: 25 P/H

Hours: 40 P/W

Purpose of the Role

To deliver a high-quality, compliant repairs and maintenance service across Abri properties, ensuring customer satisfaction is at the heart of all work carried out.

Responsibilities

• Complete a range of carpentry, plumbing, and building tasks to multi-skilled level.
• Ensure all work meets building regulations and best practice standards.
• Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues; escalate complex issues when needed.
• Deliver first-time fixes wherever possible and complete work within agreed timeframes.
• Follow all health and safety policies, using tools, PPE, and equipment responsibly.
• Accurately record work progress and material usage via smartphone/tablet.
• Maintain van stock and procure materials through approved suppliers.
• Keep work vehicle in good condition and perform regular safety checks.
• Support other trades as required and be part of the out-of-hours call-out rota.
• Take part in training to develop new or existing skills.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in multi-trade roles (carpentry, plumbing, masonry).
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in a relevant trade.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Physically fit for manual work.
• Committed to delivering excellent customer service and demonstrating Abri values.
