Role

Multi-Trade Operative – Joiner/Plumber

Location: Chester

Salary: £34,376 - £36,185 per year

Hours: 40 hours per week

Overview
Responsibilities
  • Attending vacant properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties within Social Housing
  • Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works
  • Providing out of hours cover via a call out rota
Skills and qualifications
  • To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical). If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring original certification verifying proof of qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role within social housing is advantageous
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks
  • Additional skills in some of the following disciplines - plumbing, joinery, carpentry and plastering would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
