Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer for 12-hour shifts (4 on, 4 off) based in Deeside. The ideal candidate will have an engineering qualification (HNC/NVQ Level 3) and hands-on experience in automated manufacturing, ideally in FMCG or food production. Responsibilities include maintenance of machinery, troubleshooting systems, and supporting production. Qualifications

Role Overview

Multi‑Skilled Shift Engineer – 4 on 4 off shift (12‑hour days). Location: Deeside. Salary: £50,000 per annum. Benefits: pension, life assurance, subsidised canteen, discounted staff shop, learning platform, free parking and career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance on plant and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Install, commission and maintain plant and facilities.
  • Support production with line adjustments and breakdowns.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce downtime.
  • Train colleagues and work safely across the site.
The Person
  • Engineering qualification (HNC/NVQ Level 3) in electrical, mechanical or multiskilled discipline.
  • Hands‑on experience in automated manufacturing, ideally FMCG or food production.
  • Knowledge of packaging and palletisation systems, AC/servo drives.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Safety‑focused team player.
