Position: Multi-Skilled Engineer
Salary: £45,000
Shift: Monday-Friday (Double Days)
Hours: 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00
Location: Somerset (Commutable from Yeovil, Wincanton, Shaftsbury, Wells, Blandford Forum and surrounding areas)

What You’ll Be Doing

You will play a key role in keeping a busy production environment running smoothly by carrying out maintenance, repair and improvement work across a wide range of equipment and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Mechanical maintenance of motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics and more
  • Electrical work on motors, sensors, valves, control gear, servos, instrumentation, power distribution and safety systems
  • Carrying out settings, documentation, measurements, tests and calibrations
  • Fault‑finding, root cause analysis and delivering effective fixes
  • Selecting the right parts and coordinating with stores to maintain stock levels
  • Suggesting improvements to boost uptime, safety and quality across the plant
  • Providing technical support to operators and assisting with commissioning new equipment
  • Maintaining control and weighing equipment
  • Working safely and hygienically at all times
What We’re Looking For
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Engineering
  • Experience with building services (e.g., boilers, refrigeration, air handling)
  • Confident using CMMS systems
  • Background in the food sector (desired)
  • Experience with packaging machinery
  • Familiarity with complex control systems
