We are looking for an Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to provide breakdown and maintenance support across a range of machinery, with a strong focus on electrical systems. The role involves working shifts and ensuring maximum uptime through proactive and reactive maintenance.

Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical maintenance and fault-finding on injection moulding machinery and associated equipment.
  • Perform planned, reactive, and predictive maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
  • Diagnose electrical faults systematically and implement effective solutions, reporting via a CMMS system.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure all equipment is handed back in a safe condition.
  • Train operators on equipment setup and changeovers, maintaining accurate training records.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Profile

The Successful Candidate

  • Apprentice-trained with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering (HNC/HND desirable).
  • Strong ability to read electrical drawings and logically fault-find.
  • Proven experience conducting electrical maintenance on injection moulding machinery and other automated systems.
  • Skilled in working with inverters, servo/DC drives, control panels, and circuits from 415V to 24VDC.
  • Understanding of pneumatics and mechanical systems is advantageous.
  • A proactive team player with excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Flexible, resilient, and confident, with a commitment to health and safety standards.
