Platform Property Care has a great opportunity for a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter based in Malvern, Newent, Tewkesbury, Ross-on-Wye and the surrounding area to join our talented Repairs & Maintenance team and help us maintain and improve our homes, ensuring our customer's homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard.

You will be a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter and carpentry will be your focus, but experience in other trades is an advantage. If you also have experience of lock smith repairs then you should get in touch!

The role is varied. No two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers along the way. It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return, you'll have the support of a great team.

Responsibilities

• A team player, you will be hard working and keen to learn with a can‑do attitude.
• Working in people's homes – friendly, approachable and with good communication and customer service skills.
• Organised and able to recognise the importance of delivering work right the first time.
• Deliver multi‑trade work and keep jobs on track.
• Drive the completion of works quickly and efficiently.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Carpentry.
• Experience as a Carpenter in the building trade, either as a dedicated Carpenter or a multi‑skilled Carpenter.
• Experience working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council.
• Good organisational skills and keeping jobs on track.
• Full current valid driving licence.
• DBS check – required for working within customers' homes.
• Good IT skills; experienced with a PDA, Microsoft Office and Outlook email.
