Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated MSK Specialist Podiatrist to join our outstanding team at DCHS. This role combines musculoskeletal expertise with a proactive approach to high‑risk foot care and prevention. You will play a key role in developing this part of our service, helping our patient population reduce the risk of limb‑threatening diabetic foot problems through early intervention and evidence‑based care.

What We're Looking For
  • HCPC‑registered Podiatrist with significant MSK experience.
  • A passion for patient care and improving outcomes in diabetic foot health.
  • Strong skills in biomechanics, orthoses, and evidence‑based interventions.
  • Ability to lead, innovate, and work collaboratively.
Main Duties
  • Deliver specialist MSK podiatry care for patients with acute and chronic foot pathologies across community clinics and local hospital settings.
  • Lead the development of MSK Hubs, working alongside colleagues to provide accessible, timely, and high‑quality services.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues and apprentice podiatrists, sharing your expertise to build a strong, skilled workforce.
  • Support diabetic foot‑care initiatives aimed at preventing active foot disease and improving long‑term outcomes.
  • Provide advanced biomechanical assessments, orthotic prescriptions, and tailored treatment plans.
  • Develop outcome measures to evaluate the effectiveness of MSK podiatry interventions.
