Job summary

A leading education recruitment agency is seeking a Motor Vehicle Mechanics Tutor to provide training in a classroom-based environment. The position requires a recognised qualification in Motor Mechanics and offers a salary of up to £35,000, depending on skills and experience. Responsibilities include teaching vocational qualifications, monitoring student progress, and ensuring sessions are engaging. Qualifications

Criteria for all candidates

• Must hold a recognised qualification in Motor Mechanics, such as an NVQ level 2 or above.
• Willingness to work towards PTLLS/AET and/or Assessors Award – fully funded and supported by employer
• Experience of delivering on‑job training to colleagues is highly desirable.
• Confident and comfortable to deliver training/workshops to groups of learners
• Must hold solid occupational competency within Motor Mechanics.
• Must be IT Literate.

Duties include

• Teach/assess learners working towards a vocational qualification in Motor Mechanics within a classroom‑based environment.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills knowledge and behaviours.
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
