As a Group, we have a positive impact on millions of lives each and every day and are pioneering ways of enriching life experiences through making the places we use the best they can possibly be. We provide the services that enable properties to thrive. From airports to your favourite high‑street retailer, from state‑of‑the‑art offices to high‑tech manufacturing environments, from schools to hospitals – we make sure the environments are always working hard for the people that need them.

We’re looking for an experienced Communicator to deliver the comprehensive communications strategy for Mitie’s Technical Services contract mobilisations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of stakeholders to shape a seamless integration experience for new Mitie colleagues.

You will be joining our in‑house Communications Team which acts as the Centre of Excellence for all internal communications across the Group. Reporting to the Senior Internal Communications Business Partner, you will be a dedicated partner to the Technical Services Support team to lead on the communications activity across all mobilisations for the division.

Responsibilities
  • Strategy Delivery: Work closely with the Technical Support Team, the Contract team, People Transformation team and other stakeholders to ensure clear, consistent and timely messaging throughout the mobilisation lifecycle. Attend workstream meetings and provide timely updates on progress. Work with clients to develop communications strategies and agree on communications governance for the mobilisation period.
  • Internal Communications: Craft and deliver messaging to employees to foster engagement, reduce uncertainty and support cultural integration.
  • Content Creation: Develop a range of communication materials and manage multiple digital and in‑person channels.
  • Change Management Support: Collaborate with change‑management teams to align messaging with organisational changes and the employee experience.
  • Leadership Support: Provide leadership materials including digital content, town halls, Q&A sessions, video scripts and presentations.
  • Monitoring & Feedback: Track communication effectiveness and adjust strategies based on feedback and engagement metrics.
What We’re Looking For
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with SharePoint – required. Experience with Canva and other creative tools is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, change‑oriented environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Why Join Us?

You’ll be joining a passionate and supportive team that values creativity, collaboration and impact. Our internal communications function plays a key role in shaping how we engage with colleagues across the business – helping them feel informed, inspired and connected. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast‑paced team that is at the heart of Mitie.

We Offer
