Overview

Mobile Service Engineer - Forklift / Material Handling

Location: Glasgow (covering within 1 hour from home)

Salary: £38,500 + Overtime (x1.5 / x2) + van + Call Out Allowance (£150/week optional)

Increases: £2,000 salary rise in January, further rise in April

The Role
  • Carry out planned maintenance, servicing, and repairs on heavy plant, forklift trucks, and material handling equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults (mechanical bias preferred, but electrical skills highly valued).
  • Support breakdown callouts when required (optional callout rota).
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service, representing the company on-site.
  • Complete all required job documentation accurately and on time.
The Candidate
  • Strong background in mechanical engineering (diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions).
  • Some knowledge of electrical systems - electrical bias would be a strong advantage.
  • Experience in plant, forklift, agricultural machinery, or material handling equipment.
  • A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
