Overview

As a Mobile Dispensing Optician at Vision Express, you'll travel to multiple Vision Express stores in your area to provide your specialised expertise to help customers choose the right eyewear, ensuring that they fit the customer and meet their visual requirements and preferences. You'll advise on lens options, coatings and frames to suit different lifestyles and budgets.

Your expertise and dedication will play a critical role in helping us achieve our mission of helping customers to See More and Be More, by providing tailored and effective eyecare and eyewear solutions to maximise visual potential and enhance lifestyle.

Although the hours of this role are advertised, we are open to discussing flexible options to fit around your ideal working week, such as hours to suit the school run or a compressed week.

The perfect candidate

• A degree or diploma in Optometry or Ophthalmic Dispensing with registration on the General Optical Council
• Great communication and rapport building to translate professional terminology into language understandable to patients
• Exceptional attention to detail in maintaining accurate customer records, prescriptions and requirements to provide them with the best service and product recommendations
• Teamwork with colleagues across the whole store team
• The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a fast-paced retail environment
• Confidence, passion, drive and enthusiasm
