Our client is a leading healthcare organisation, committed to delivering high-quality care and excellent patient experiences. With hospitals, 111 call centres, out-of-hours services, prison healthcare, and diagnostic services nationwide, they make a positive difference in the lives of patients every day.

They are seeking an Engineering Technician to join their mobile team supporting hospitals across the Southwest. This is an exciting, varied role where you will play a key part in maintaining high standards of patient care and supporting healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities of an Engineering Technician
  • Complete work orders for planned and reactive maintenance, specialist sub-contractor tasks, and remedial work in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical, health, safety, and environmental support across a regional group of hospitals and Integrated Urgent Care sites.
  • Perform routine and specialised engineering maintenance and breakdown support.
  • Mentor and provide hands‑on support to mobile-based Technicians or Engineering Assistants.
  • Advise and support the management team as required.
  • Promote strong team culture and maintain a can‑do, safety‑focused attitude.
Requirements of an Engineering Technician
  • CSCS Card at the appropriate level.
  • City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical discipline essential.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Knowledge of L8 Legionella ACOP in hospital settings is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and fault‑finding skills.
  • Ability to read detailed plans and work independently.
