Working in Manufacturing at JLR, you’ll be the hands‑on expert who brings innovation to life. You’ll collaborate with a team of expert technicians and problem‑solvers and use cutting‑edge tools, facilities, and processes engineered together to build era‑defining vehicles that people across the world know and love. This position plays a key role in planning, controlling, and delivering new model launch activities across JLR vehicle lines. It supports the coordination and oversight of Plant Quality Launch processes from Online through to OTA, including secure release activities. In partnership with the Launch Manufacturing team, the role helps ensure value for money while meeting safety, quality, and delivery targets.

It also offers hands‑on experience leading a diverse group of coaches within an Agile framework, along with exposure to a variety of facilities and departments.

WHAT TO EXPECT
  • Lead and coordinate the Launch Quality team, allocating tasks and ensuring delivery to deadlines.
  • Operate as a Squad Lead in an Agile environment, using tools such as Jira to drive collaboration across the wider team.
  • Oversee the creation and approval of all programme‑related WES with the core Plant Quality team.
  • Develop and implement training plans for Plant Quality inspection teams on new models and new model‑year content.
  • Manage Torque Study and Torque Overcheck teams to deliver Priority and TPPS studies.
  • Ensure SIP and OTA‑identified quality issues are escalated to owners, with containment and resolution tracked through Agile forums including stand‑ups, scrums of scrums, and showcases.
  • Lead quality investigations, plan and monitor quality attribute testing, and present Launch Quality status and timing plans at senior reviews.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Candidates should have experience of Plant Quality aligned QOS procedure
  • Have a good understanding of PCDS (product development creation system) or equivalent program development systems
  • Have a detailed understanding of SPC (statistic process control) and Capability Analysis
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Office
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience of leading large teams
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and to tight deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communications.
