Job description

Welder Fabricator required with experience in MIG and TIG welding; fabricating custom steel components and pipework from simplified drawings with a focus on precision, quality, and structural integrity.

Pay rate/salary: £15.50 per hour (£33,449 annually)

Working hours: 6.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday & 7.30am to 11.00am Fridays, totaling 41.5 hours per week. Overtime at 1.5x rate on Fridays available.

Key Responsibilities as Welder Fabricator:

1. Fabricate bespoke components including box sections, cubes, and angled assemblies (typically 90° and 45°).
2. Interpret simplified technical drawings provided by supervisors, ensuring accurate dimensions.
3. Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel pipework.
4. Assemble and weld complex structures with tight tolerances and clean finishes.
5. Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to ensure fabrication aligns with project specifications.
6. Maintain high standards of quality assurance, safety, and compliance.

Skills of MIG TIG Welder Fabricator:

1. Proficient in welding techniques for pipework and structural steel.
2. Skilled in working from component-level drawings and visual breakdowns.
3. Familiar with manual fabrication tools: grinders, saws, forming equipment.
4. Strong understanding of angles, measurements, and geometric layouts.
5. Experience welding carbon and stainless steel products of various sizes.
