Manchester I 3 days a week in office

Salary: 40k-45k

KnoWho Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a forward-thinking creative agency on the search for a progressive, culturally-driven Midweight Creative. This is an opportunity for an ambitious creative with agency experience to help shape global campaign work, bring bold ideas to life, and lead projects with confidence, craft and cultural relevance.

You’ll be a hands-on creative who can concept, develop and execute integrated work across multiple touchpoints, collaborating closely with Creative Directors and wider teams, while setting the tone creatively and helping elevate the output around you.

The Role
Creative Leadership
  • Own the art direction, copy, style and tone across campaign work, ensuring ideas land powerfully across every channel.
  • Partner with Creative Directors to align on creative vision, strategic goals and executional direction across projects.
  • Drive world-class output across formats including experiential, live, digital, social, print and more.
  • Lead by example — bringing energy, originality and creative confidence into every room.
  • Run ideation and production proactively, keeping momentum high from concept through to delivery.
Concepting & Visual Development
  • Generate clear, compelling concepts in response to briefs — turning insight into strong creative ideas.
  • Collaborate with creatives and wider teams to develop fully integrated, multi-channel campaign thinking.
  • Ensure the creative idea is carried through with clarity — from early concept to final execution.
  • Develop strong visual narratives and campaign worlds that connect emotionally and culturally.
Craft Excellence
  • Maintain an exceptional standard of storytelling, design thinking and creative execution.
  • Direct and collaborate with designers, visualisers, photographers, illustrators and production partners to deliver work at the highest craft level.
  • Push quality and consistency across every output - no matter the format, scale or deadline.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Present ideas with clarity, passion and conviction to internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients through proactive communication and calm, confident creative leadership.
  • Contribute to new business pitches, supporting with ideas, visual direction and inspirational thinking.
Team Mentoring & Creative Culture
  • Support and develop junior creatives, helping them grow and raising the bar across the team.
  • Encourage curiosity, experimentation and innovation within the creative culture.
  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with freelance talent and wider creative partners.
Cultural Insight & Trend Awareness
  • Stay plugged into cultural shifts across sport, youth culture, entertainment, music and design.
  • Bring inspirational knowledge of art, photography, fashion, music, sport and fan culture to influence stronger creative work.
  • Constantly bring new references, ideas and energy into the team.
Key Requirements

We’re keen to hear from creatives who bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience within a creative agency or marketing/advertising environment (Art Director or Copywriter background).
  • Strong conceptual thinking with a proven track record of delivering high-quality campaign work.
  • Experience building work across digital, social, live/experiential, print and integrated brand platforms.
  • Strong skills across Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant creative tools.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a genuine obsession with craft.
  • Confidence using AI tools to visualise ideas and accelerate concept development.
  • The ability to work independently, while taking direction and collaborating easily within a team.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to sell creative work clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience developing work for audiences aged 15+ and across multiple demographics.
  • A deep passion for sport, music and/or wider culture (and a strong point of view).
  • Calm under pressure — able to deliver excellent work to tight timelines.
  • Relevant creative education, training or equivalent experience.
  • A genuine ambition to produce award-worthy work, with a clear understanding of what it takes to get there.
