About This Role

Position: Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA), permanent part‑time, 7.5 hours per week (11:45 am–1:15 pm, Monday–Friday, 38.2 weeks per year). Salary: £24,413 pro‑rate (£4,188 actual per annum). Location: Milton‑on‑Stour Church of England Primary School, Gillingham, Dorset SP8 5QD. Closing date: 12:00 pm, Monday 5 January 2026.

Role Overview

In this role you will develop caring relationships with pupils during lunchtime and supervise them in the lunch hall or other school areas. Responsibilities include supervising students, ensuring their safety whilst eating or engaging in lunchtime activities, and assisting with the clearing and cleaning of the dining hall and equipment, including light manual handling.

We are looking for individuals who are patient, calm, organised and adaptable, who can work as part of a team and use their own initiative. A positive outlook and a sense of humour are also essential.
