Pay Scale NJC 2 – 7 FTE Salary £24,412.99 - £26,402.69(Pro Rata) - , (Actual pay £4,193.14 - £4,534.89)

7.5 hours per week (1.5 hours per day)

38 weeks per year (Fixed Term until August 2026 initially)

Working with the Midday / Lunchtime Supervisor team, you will :

  1. Supervise pupils as they eat their lunch in the dining hall or packed lunches outside weather permitting.
  2. Supervise pupils after lunch, ensuring they are safe and well behaved, encouraging them to follow the School’s Behaviour Policy on the playground or in classrooms during wet playtimes.
  3. Attend to accidents and administer First Aid as required (training will be provided)

We are seeking a reliable friendly midday supervisor to join our team. As an essential member of the school’s team, you will support children’s safety, well-being and behaviour during their lunch break.

Ideally having experience of working with children, you will need to be able to communicate appropriately with children and staff, helping them to practice good table manners, and play with friends in a safe and kind way. A positive problem-solving attitude is essential along with a willingness to learn and ‘be involved’ with the School’s ethos. You will be administering first aid and maintaining the accident log & First Aid kits.

The working pattern is five days per week, 1 hour and 30 minutes per day, term time only.

You may be requested to attend relevant school training outside of these hours occasionally.

We are looking for a Midday Supervisor / Lunchtime Supervisor who is :
  • Hardworking, reliable and flexible
  • Well organised and able to demonstrate initiative
  • Good humoured and friendly, with good interpersonal skills, who will engage with the pupils.
  • Good at establishing and maintaining relationships with individual pupils and groups of pupils, by using effective communication, and understanding the value of treating all individuals fairly.
  • Able to contribute to the management of pupil behaviour by encouraging positive behaviour.
  • Able to contribute to the health and well-being of pupils through the support of safeguarding for pupils by ensuring a safe environment, and following policies & procedures at all times.
  • Assist with the personal and intimate care of pupils.
  • To support children and young people with SEND, supporting them to actively participate in play activities.
  • Able to administer first aid and record accident records.
