A community school in Stalybridge is looking for a part-time Midday Assistant to supervise and assist children during lunchtime. The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a Midday Assistant at Wild Bank Community School, Demesne Drive, Stalybridge, SK15 2PG.

Wild Bank is a one form entry school with 31 staff and 146 pupils aged between 3 and 11. Wild Bank’s school motto is ‘Working together we can achieve our best’.
Term: Monday 23rd February 2026 to 31st August 2026
Part-Time: Monday to Friday 12:00pm to 1:30pm
The role is fixed-term, part-time 7.5 hours per week, Term Time Only, with an actual salary of £4,352 (Grade A Point 2).
The purpose of the role is to assist the children during lunchtime and to provide playground support and supervision, including basic medical care and reporting where necessary. You will be working both inside and outside the school building and you will need to be able to work independently using initiative and as part of a team, enjoy working with children and demonstrate organisation, flexibility, patience and understanding. You will need to be able to communicate clearly with, and relate positively to, all members of staff and pupils. Part of this role is to read with individual children for 30 minutes each day.
