Job summary

Overview

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands‑on, physical job and doesn’t mind working outdoors in all weather conditions. You’ll be part of the Anglian Water Alliance delivery team and will work closely with an experienced Water Metering Team Leader who will support you as you build your skills and develop your career in the clean water industry.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the installation and replacement of water meters
• Carrying out excavation and reinstatement works in line with approved methods
• Locating water assets and identifying issues on the network
• Checking tools, equipment and vehicles are fit for use and properly maintained
• Completing risk assessments and following safe systems of work at all times
• Working safely around underground services using CAT & Genny equipment
• Ensuring strict compliance with Clancy Group and Anglian Water health, safety and environmental standards
• Completing job records and site paperwork accurately

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on water networks, utilities or within a construction or civil environment, and enjoy practical, site‑based work.
• Positive, reliable attitude, comfortable working as part of a team, and take pride in working safely.
• Full, clean UK driving licence essential.
• NRSWA (Streetworks) highly desirable; any experience in water network repairs, excavation or reinstatement would be an advantage – full training and development provided.
