Job description

Addiscombe Hockey Club is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Head Coach for the 2025/26 season and beyond.

Addiscombe HC is a friendly club in the heart of Croydon, with pitches and Clubhouse easily accessible by public transport. Recently refurbished bar, and exceptionally social members, Addiscombe is the place to be for hockey in Croydon.

We have four men's teams, two ladies teams and a thriving junior section with over 150 members aged 4-18. All our adult teams play competitive hockey in South East England.

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and friendly Coach to support our men's section. Working closely with our Head Coach and our existing Men's Coach, you'll deliver sessions across the men's section, working equally with our performance and development squads, ensuring that both groups have excellent and robust session plans in place.

Our training programme for the men's section takes place on Wednesday evenings from 8pm to 9.30pm at Royal Russell School in Croydon, with whom we have an excellent partnership. There may also be opportunities, depending on your availability, to travel with the Men's 1st XI on Saturdays and provide matchday support and coaching too.

About you

You'll ideally be Level 2 qualified, or have significant coaching experience across a range of adult abilities, and will have previously set session plans for a hockey club.

You'll be friendly, personable, and a great communicator, and able to motivate players.

Remuneration will be dependent on experience - starting from £30 per hour.
