Job summary

A healthcare organization in Scotland is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse for Medical Ward 1. The position offers a Band 5 salary between £33,247 and £41,424 per annum pro rata, plus a Distant Islands Allowance. The successful candidate will provide care for patients with acute medical conditions and must have RGN or RSCN registration. This is a fixed-term role until June 2026 with day/night rotation responsibilities.

Job description

Overview

Medical Ward 1. Staff Nurse (RGN or RSCN). Band 5 £33,247 - £41,424 per annum pro rata. Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,406 per annum. 24.40 hours per week. Fixed Term post until June 2026. Medical Ward 1 is part of the Integrated Medical Unit. The ward deals with a wide range of acute medical conditions and has a designated 4 Bedded High Dependency Unit (HDU) and 3 Paediatric beds. The HDU provides facilities for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and invasive medical procedures and investigations. Day/Night Rotation.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to the delivery of evidence based care.
• Be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with a flexible team orientated approach.
• A Paediatric /HDU qualification is desirable but not essential for this post. Applicants will be expected to take part in looking after paediatric patients.
