Senior Medical Secretary

Fixed Term Contract (March 2026 - February 2027)

Central London

Salary : £30,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)

We're delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Medical Secretary to join our client's friendly and professional medical practice in Central London, near the Portland Hospital, on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.

Hours Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, flexible start times between 8 : 30am-9 : 30am with corresponding finish)

Location Central London, near the Portland Hospital

Start Date 17th March 2026

Training Paid training days will take place during weekdays in February 2026

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage consultants' diaries and coordinate clinics
  • Schedule and prepare patient appointments
  • Liaise with hospitals, clinics, and pathology laboratories
  • Carry out accurate audio typing and provide administrative support
  • Organise immunotherapy clinics and nurse rotas
We're looking for someone who is :
  • Experienced in a medical secretary or similar administrative role (private practice experience is desirable)
  • Highly computer literate with strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Practice Manager (DGL) and Microsoft Office
  • Skilled in audio typing, organisation, and communication
  • Experienced in paediatrics or fertility (advantageous but not essential)
