The division of Surgery and Cancer would like to invite applicants for a permanent Band 3 post to join the medical secretary team within the ENT department at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
You will need experience in managing the robust systems in place for the administrative engagement of patient pathways. You will need to be able to work flexibly as part of the team, using Medisec digital transcription software from outpatient and inpatient attendances.
Experience in using the PTL (Patient Tracker List) to manage patient\'s pathway is desirable along with a knowledge of medical terminology. Previous experience of working in a clerical / secretarial role is essential.
You will be required to display tact and diplomacy, and have developed communication skills when dealing with senior staff, patients, colleagues and the general public.
The post holder will support named clinicians and support their colleagues to provide an efficient support to all members of the clinical teams.
