Job overview

We are excited to invite applications for this opportunity that has arisen within the Medical HR Team.

As Medical HR Team Leader, you will :
  • Lead and support a team delivering high-quality Medical HR services, including recruitment, contracts, rotations and workforce processes
  • Act as the point of contact for senior clinicians, managers and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with NHS Terms & Conditions, employment legislation and national guidance
  • Drive continuous improvement, bringing structure, clarity and consistency to Medical HR processes
  • Balance operational delivery with coaching, development and the wellbeing of your team
  • Work with the Guardian of Safe Working Administrator supporting the implementation of the new Exception Reporting reforms and assist with the rota work / compliance within the Trust.

The team works to deliver a reliable, customer-focused service, and the ideal candidate will have keen attention to detail, be customer service orientated and committed to providing a first class service to all.

Previous experience of working with the NHS Medical & Dental terms and conditions as well as having an understanding of ESR, Trac / NHS Jobs, Allocate E-rota or similar systems is essential.

This role relies on having a collaborative attitude and a willingness to work closely with colleagues within the team and the wider Operational Team but also Payroll, Occupational Health, Rota Co-ordinators / Managers as well as our operational stakeholders.

Main duties of the job
Resident Doctor Compliance
  • To develop & maintain detailed knowledge of the RLDatix e-rota system, providing training and support to rota coordinators to ensure all resident doctors rotas are compliant with the rules of the TCS & any changes to working patterns are approved via the agreed trust processes
General Responsibilities
  • To ensure the Medical HR Administration team provide a comprehensive high quality, customer-focused service to all Divisions within the Trust.
Medical Recruitment
  • Monitor & manage recruitment activity daily to ensure that the service is delivered in line with key performance targets.
  • Support in the setting up of AACs, ensuring that all associated paperwork is processed in a timely manner & subsequent offers are processed in line with the Trust’s KPIs.
  • Completing salary assessments, compiling work schedules & issuing contracts of employment for all medical staff recruited into the Trust.
  • Ensure all payroll documentation e.g. joining forms part 2, change and leavers forms are coded & inputted on ESR in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure that all new starters to the Trust are compliant in terms of pre-employment clearances in accordance with the NHS Employment Check Standards, Trust policies & that these are accurately recorded on ESR.
Management of staff
  • Option to line manage the Medical HR Officer and HR Administrator.
  • Ensure appraisals and 1-1s are conducted for both and continued development is offered and support where available.
