Job description
The Team

The Day Procedure Unit is responsible for the admission, procedures, and post procedure care of patients requiring medical procedures including gastroenterology, cardiology, radiology and respiratory specialties.

The Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Providing effective and efficient clerical, administration and reception support in the Day Procedure Unit (DPU) at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH).
  • Provide clerical support and assistance to direct access medical inpatients at the LGH, and liaison with the LGH access team.
  • Assist the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) with other functions that are undertaken in the DPU, under direction and based on established procedures and practice, providing an effective front-line service to the public.
You will need
  • The ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume unit and have previous experience in clerical, reception and office management skills.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communications skills, and the ability to work autonomously within the team.
  • High level organisational skills and the ability to prioritise quickly.

Details of appointment

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 8hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team!

Salary

$66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 202
