Anchor Pipework Ltd is seeking an experienced Working Supervisor to join our Winchester team. This role is perfect for a skilled commercially qualified gas engineer with a background in facilities maintenance who is ready to take on a supervisory position within a growing, professional, and highly respected organisation.

About the Role

You will supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance and repair activities across commercial. Your role will involve managing reactive and planned maintenance works on building services equipment, including HVAC, heating systems and associated plant. You’ll lead a team to ensure maintenance is completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to site operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and supervise mechanical maintenance operatives and subcontractors.
  • Oversee the delivery of reactive, planned, and preventative mechanical maintenance tasks across multiple facilities.
  • Schedule and coordinate workloads, resources, and materials to meet maintenance targets and deadlines.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations and company procedures on site.
  • Interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and asset documentation to guide maintenance activities.
  • Carry out quality inspections and audits to maintain high operational and safety standards.
  • Liaise with facilities managers, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless site operations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of maintenance activities, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Commercially qualified gas engineer.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred)
  • Proven experience supervising mechanical maintenance teams in a facilities environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building services mechanical heating systems and associated plant.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and coordinate complex maintenance schedules.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience in facilities maintenance.
