Job Title: Mechanical Small Works Manager

Salary: £50K Per Annum + Package

The Role
  • Deliver mechanical small works projects from initial survey through to completion, typically valued between £10k–£75k
  • Manage multiple live projects across heating, plumbing, ductwork, and air conditioning disciplines
  • Carry out nationwide site surveys for potential and awarded works, producing supporting documentation and scope details
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver projects safely, on time, and within agreed budgets
  • Liaise closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Maintain cost control throughout the project lifecycle, including budgeting, variations, and commercial awareness
  • Monitor progress, quality, and H&S compliance across all projects, ensuring company and industry standards are met
  • Support business development by identifying and upselling additional works where appropriate
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and handover information as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Pro-review experience managing mechanical small works projects (HVAC, plumbing, ductwork, or similar)
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services and installation standards
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing experience
  • Commercially aware, with experience in estimating, budgeting, and cost control
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
Desirable
  • HNC / HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
