Qualifications

The Client and Project Info:
My client is a leading M&E Contractor who are currently recruiting a Mechanical Manager for a major Data Centre project based in Scotland. This is a long-term opportunity working on a high-value, fast-paced technical build.

Mechanical Manager Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to and working closely with the Project Director.
  • Overseeing all mechanical packages on the Data Centre project.
  • Managing subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Coordinating with design teams, consultants, and other site management.
  • Ensuring all mechanical works are compliant with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Leading progress meetings, producing reports, and tracking programme milestones.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to health & safety procedures at all times.
  • Supporting commissioning activities and ensuring successful handover.
Mechanical Manager Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Mechanical Manager on large-scale MEP projects.
  • Data Centre experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, pipework, plant, and associated mechanical systems.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and drive project delivery.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid CSCS card and relevant mechanical qualifications.
