Overview

Join Our Team as a Mechanical Technician! Are you a skilled Mechanical Technician looking to make a meaningful impact in the manufacturing industry? Our client, a leading organisation in the production sector, is seeking a dedicated individual to join their dynamic Maintenance Department in Ayrshire United Kingdom. This is your chance to be part of a team that plays a key role in maintaining and developing state-of-the-art plant and equipment to the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop our production line and power station in accordance with specifications, schedules, safety targets, and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot engineering problems related to equipment and machines, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with a team of Mechanical Tradesmen, contributing to a culture of excellence.
  • Be flexible with core hours (Monday to Friday, 7 am - 3 pm) and participate in a mandatory call-out rota.
Qualifications
  • An apprenticeship completion in a mechanical discipline and ideally an HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearing fitting, alignment, and pumping systems.
  • Competence in using maintenance management systems alongside a strong background in fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical plant and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to self-manage effectively.
  • A good team spirit and a shared commitment to colleague well-being.
